ALL RECYCLING MUST BE CLEAN! IF YOUR RECYCLING IS CONTAMINATED WE WILL HAVE TO LEAVE IT. THESE ARE RULES SET FORTH BY THE RECYCLE PROCESSING PLANT. YOU CAN PLACE THEM IN WITH YOUR TRASH.
Depending on your location we offer 2 types of recycling : At the road and at the house.
AT THE ROAD
Depending on the availability in your area we can pick up recycling from a 32 gallon can. We just ask that you place an "R" or the word "Recycle" on the side of the can so that the recycle truck knows that it's for recycling and not just an extra can of trash. In the can you can mix tin, aluminum, and paper products, plastics 1,2 &3.
Examples are: beer cans, soda cans, pet food cans, food cans, metal lids, all paper products(except waxed milk cartons), newspapers, magazines, aseptic containers with the spout removed, junk mail, phone books, egg cartons, computer paper, catalogs, cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, milk jugs, water jugs, juice containers, etc.
AT THE HOUSE
There are some areas that our recycle truck is unable to get to and in those areas we use red mesh bags to gather your recycling. We provide you with these bags at no charge. There would be one or more bags for tin and aluminum. Paper products are placed into a paper sack and when the sack is full just set it out with the red bags. Large cardboard boxes(such as moving size boxes) are bundled together. The bags and cardboard are placed inside a basket behind the cab of the truck and we don't want anything blowing out going down the road.
ITEMS WE CAN NOT TAKE FOR RECYCLING
All GLASS, styrofoam, plastic grocery bags, aerosol cans, paint cans, motor oil, clothing, wood, antifreeze, buckets, batteries, pottery, waxed cardboard, large metal products.
